Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, host of the CNN's "New day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected. Camerota has been an editor for more than 30 years, was a reporter for news and events across the globe and nationally. She won an Emmy Award in her early career for covering the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award when she broke the story of the hurricane Maria. As part of other trustee board' transitions Johnna G. Torsone of Stamford has been named honorary trustee, having been as a trustee since 2007, and Anna Czekaj-Farber of Westport has been elected chair of the board after having been as a board member since 2013. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who was chairperson since October 2015. She has continued serving on the board since 2006.
